Life’s Stressors

Life is such a challenge.  It’s is filled with all kinds of obstacles and challenges as well as joy and happiness.  Everything from a wedding, to the birth of a child, to the loss of a loved one bring about change.  Obviously those that are pleasant are met with arms wide open, but those that are consider unpleasant like death are not as well received.   Whether a good life event or a bad one, they all have one major thing in common: STRESS!  Ask anyone that’s gotten married if planning the wedding and the day of the wedding are stressful and you will get a resounding YES.  Ask a woman in labor if it’s stressful and the answer will be YES.  Lastly, ask someone who’s loved one has passed away if it’s a stressful time and you’ll probably be asked to leave or be picking yourself up off the ground.  Because it is a very stressful time.

Planning

It is an interesting thing planning.  If you ask someone to get married, in most cases plans for the ‘Big Day’ will be made for months if not years in advance.  For the simple reason that you want your wedding day to be as perfect as it possibly can.  You want things to run smoothly.  If you’re the bride, you want your wedding dress to be as perfect and can be and you want to make your groom proud that you are going to be his in just a few minutes.

The same attention to detail is never given to the day of one’s departure.   Why?  Well that can be debated, but there’s no doubt that a good portion of the reason is because we never want to think about it ahead of time.  It’s something that will happen somewhere down the road, and it’s an unpleasant thought at best.  We don’t want to make wills out, plan for estate sales, trust or probate.  Death is just unpleasant!

Alleviating Stress

One of the reasons that weddings are less stressful than funerals is because they are planned well ahead of time.  If you were to try and make all of the arraignments the day of your wedding, well it just wouldn’t happen.  Why?  Because there’s just to much to do.  The same is true for funerals.  There are all kinds of arraignments that need to be done from notifications of family and friends to where the funeral is going to be held at.  If by some chance you’re a surviving family member and a house needs to go into probate, the stress is even more intents.  Consider that you don’t have to wait for the death to handle a large chunk of what needs to be done.

Probate, Wills And Trusts!

Probates, wills and trusts are several things that you can get done well before they are needed.  Also hiring a lawyer to make sure these things are executed well before they’re needed.  When you do just these few things, then much of the work is done as well as much of the stress that you have will be alleviated.  You can also have all of your funeral arraignments made and paid for ahead of time.  There by having one more stress removed for your family.  It’s not easy, death and passing never are.  But why not do what you can do before it has to be done or you have to do it?

Summer

It’s been a hard some for many this year.  Disaster is sticking around the world and there is no end in sight.  From shootings to major department stores  having acts of violence in them.  Places that you once would have assumed were safe, you no longer can.  The grief runs deep and not just in the United States, but around the world.  With wars a rumors of wars.  Summer has brought the unexpected to everyone.  The ‘Dog Days’ of summer is taking on a new meaning.  Clearly when these injuries and violence occur, people have to be taken to the emergency room.  They are given top priority for obvious reasons.

Dallas Shooting 2016

These are extreme events, so what happens if you have something that needs medical attention and you don’t want to go the the emergency room for obvious reason?  What then?  Consider that you always have the option of going to an urgent care.  In most cases they are well staffed and have the same if not better quality of care that comes with going to an emergency room.  Why?  Because urgent cares like Boca Regional Urgent Care are staffed with emergency room doctors.

They have the skill and talent of emergency room doctors because they are emergency room doctors.  So why go to an urgent care?  Consider that they will not be charging you the same outrageous prices that an emergency room visit will cost you.  You also won’t have the 5 hour wait that is known to come from that emergency room visit.  You can even schedule your visit if you’d like. You can still get x-rays and you can still get your prescriptions filled onsite if you’d like.

With all of the advantages that come with going to an urgent care over going to an emergency room, why wouldn’t you want to go to an urgent care.  It just makes sense to visit your local urgent care.

Your home is such an important part of your life.  It’s something that you need to spend time to select the perfect one.  It’s not like a car where you spend a little bit of time in going to and from work and an occasional errand.  It something that you will spend time raising your kids in and making memories that will last for all of their lives as well as your grandchildren.  Your home is not something that should be entered into casually.

When you enter your home, you should feel like it’s giving you a hug.  That it’s there for you and that it’s been waiting for you to come home all day long.  It welcomes you, not unlike a puppy wagging it’s telling while she’s anticipated your arrival all day long.

Your home should let you feel like you can cook all day long and never feel  like you’ve lifted a finger or that you didn’t have the room to create the masterpiece that your guest will love and at the same time be a place where you and your children can have the guilty pleasure of eating cookie dough while one rack bakes.

Your bedroom should feel like a sanctuary where you can run away from the world at one end and run into the arms of your loved one at the other end.  You shouldn’t feel cramped or inconvenienced or like you’re tripping over things.   You should feel like you could sleep in it all night and day if you need to and like your a princess all the while.

Your bathroom should be an extension of the warmth of your bedroom.  You should be able to relax in the bathtub with bubbles covering ever part of you and the romance of candles surrounding you.

Your children should have rooms that make them feel like queens and kings.  That let them know that they are loved and safe and theirs nowhere else they’d rather be.  It lets them be proud to be your child and have their friends come over to spend the night.

And at the end of the a week that’s been long and hard, you deserve to have a place that you can pull up into and have a relaxing night without having to worry when you have to get out or have strangers come in on you.

And if by chance your home doesn’t do these things for you, then you need to get a new home that does.  Something that you can feel as the reward for all of your hard work.  Because you and your family deserve it!
