A New Job

No matter what side you stand on in the most recent presidential election, one thing that seems to be consistent with a new president: a sense of change. If you were really reading what was written earlier, you’re not selling real estate, you’re matching the needs of the buyer with the product (homes) that are available at that given time. It’s not hard in this day and age, after all, there are computers. You simply put in the price range, neighborhood and preferences that your buyer wants.

Preferences can range from 2 stories, neighborhood, city, town, yards and wood that’s used in the home. Some homes have oak, cherry wood, and maple. Those things will limit the selections quickly and allow for your customers to bid on a home within a few days. Does that sound like sales to you? It shouldn’t! The myth of sales is that it’s not sales. The truth of sales for the professional is that it’s simply meeting the needs of your client with the needs in the market.

Becoming an agent isn’t that hard, in most cases it’s simply a matter of going to school for 4-6 months and then taking the state exam to show that you have the knowledge that is needed to get your licenses and become an agent. Winter Challenges

Yes, winter is full of challenges and hurtles. Part of the challenges that arise as winter sets in is the cold. The cold is something that people fail to consider or thing about before hand. Now is the time that you should be getting winter kits for your car including blankets so that if you should break down, you will have at least some warmth until help arrives. This includes having food that you can eat (like candy bars) and a thermos with liquid. Unless you are going to put hot coffee in it every day, then any liquid will do.

Also, now is the time to locate your local urgent cares. While this may sound silly, consider that if you break down or get injured an urgent care is a good place to go if a blizzard is coming. They can open their doors and keep them open so that you can get to a safe place, even if you can’t get home or to a hospital. Urgent cares are far more frequent in location than are hospitals. But like hospitals, if you have an urgent care and don’t know where it’s at, it doesn’t matter if there’s one or not. So now is the time for you to locate those along the roads that you most travel!

Winter Roofs!

Most people consider what they’re going to do for holidays and what they’re going to buy. The reasons for this is obvious; most people are focused on the holidays. With plans for friends and family to visit, it’s no wonder that people are focused on buying food, gifts, new clothes and planning for the work dinner that creeps up around the corner. Is Your Site Responsive?

It may sound like a silly question in this day and age of computer wizardry, but it’s more than a legitimate question. Is the site that your customers land on a responsive one? It’s an important question to ask because we’ve all landed on sites that we have to move and shape our electronic devise around in order to see what’s on the webpage! If this sounds like what you put your customers through, then you have an unresponsive site and you need to get it upgraded!

The Problem!

The problem with unresponsive sites is multiple. First, it inconveniences those that you are looking to communicate with. It tells them that they aren’t worth the time or money to get your product to them quickly and swiftly. This is the same problem that many have with the loading time of their website. Did you know that certain designs for websites will cause them to load slower? If you’re computers loading slowly, then you’re losing customers, because they wait a couple of seconds and again are off to the next site that will load quickly. Sending your bounce rate through the roof and your conversion rate down in the cellar. And since you’re in business to make money and get a viable product out there, this isn’t a good thing.

Another problem is how your business looks. It’s completely unprofessional to have a landing page or a home page that doesn’t produce the results that your customer is expecting. If you’re not sure how this works, ask someone to go to your website and then report their thoughts back to you. Most people are very quick to respond with the truth even if it hurts. They want to let their voice be heard and if you ask them, then they are going to be quick to tell you.

Winter Wonderland!

When you want to have a winter wonderland, there’s not better place than where it snows! It brings the heart of winter into your very presence like nothing else in the world can. Everything becomes covered in a blanket of snow and when the Winter Olympics are there, even New York isn’t the best city to be in.
