Maayan Torah Day School, is located in Portland Oregon area (in Lake Oswego) and was founded by local members of the Jewish community. These founders believe that a Torah day school and Jewish preschool is central to Jewish life. Maayan offers a strong academic program in Jewish and in secular studies. Maayan utilizes a student-engaged learning environment.
Maayan’s Affiliation
Maayan Torah Day School is a member of Oregon Federation of Independent Schools (OFIS) and is an affiliate of the National Society of Hebrew Day Schools, accredited through AdvancED. It is a registered 501 c 3 organization.
“Maayan” is the Hebrew term meaning a “spring of water.”
Mission
The mission of Maayan is to instill the love of Torah in our students and is dedicated to student-engaged education and high student achievement in both Judaic and General Studies. They prioritize students’ active role the education.
