When You Lose Someone
When someone you love dies, it’s just about the hardest time in your life. You are hit with everything at once and everyone wants paperwork. There are a thousand decisions that need to be made and made all at once. It’s not like any of them can wait. The closing of their social security care, making funeral arraignments, contacting friends and family and a pastor. The list is extensive and its all in the midst of a tornado and you’re supposed to mourn and be able to function all at once. To continue to work and carry on life, with the new normal that it’s become.
The Beginning
So where do you begin when you’re hit with everything at once? Delegate! That’s right, wherever and whenever you can delegate what you don’t have to absolutely do. There are some things that will need your signature and proof of your loved ones passing. But outside of that, you need to delegate everything that your hands don’t have to handle. For example, you don’t have to handle the estate. There are company’s that are designed to handle estates when someone’s lost. Probate We Make It Simple is one company that can help in this area.
Probate We Make It Simple
Is a company that’s designed to come in along the side of you and take care of all the challenges that come with the estate of someone that’s passed. It’s not just about selling the house. Which is one of the most common misconceptions about probate, there’s a lot more than that which needs to be done. For example, did you know that there’s paperwork that needs to be filed with Washington D.C.? Well there is, and it’s one of the things that if you don’t know where to go to, you don’t want to have to jump through hoops when you have other things to worry about.
Do you know if your loved one has debts that need to be paid? This can be anything from credit cards to student loans. All of which need to be taken care of either by you, another family member or the estate sale. Few of us actually owe nothing to know one, so as much as possible needs to be taken care of after the person dies, with what they leave behind.
Do you know the value of everything that your loved one has? If not, you’re going to need to have an appraiser come in and then try and sell it. It’s another one of the areas, that makes having a probate ‘office’ to handle the estate. It’s why delegation can make things easier for you. It allows for you to keep and make the main thing the main thing!
That’s Not Me!
If you haven’t had to deal with a loved one passing, you will have to, so be informed ahead of time. When someone dies isn’t the time to figure out what you need to do and how to do it. Your mind will be overloaded and you will be overwhelmed. Which makes finding out things before hand priceless. You may not want to deal with it, but you will be happy that you did when your time comes.
