Hand Crafts Are Always A Favorite!

Handcrafted items are always a favorite for anyone that gets them or for that matter does them.  I love handcrafted items.  It doesn’t matter if I’m crocheting or if I’m doing a needlepoint, I love them.  If you are one to enjoy creating things, then needlepoint is a wonderful release from everyday work and stress.  There is something that comes with the combination of repetitive stitches (even when different colors are used), that is relaxing.  I believe that it has something to do with the same impact of white noise.  You are relaxed and all the while you are creating something.  There’s a certain freedom that comes with that.

Your Artwork!

When you’re creating something, there’s an underlying pleasure that comes with it.  It’s not someone else that you and you are buying their work.  It’s something that you have done, pretty much from beginning to end, that you get to display and have all of your friends and family do.  Needlepoint isn’t hard, it’s really not.  But many people are afraid to try it, because someone else says that it was.  But all of those someone else’s aren’t you.  And it doesn’t matter what they’ve done or can do.  It matters what you’ve done and can do.

It also matters what limits you’re choosing to place on yourself.  Have you ever not tried something and then regretted it?  Most of us have.  That’s why bucket lists were created, so that we’d do all of those things that we’ve wanted to do and were afraid we’d wait too long, or forget to do them later on.  Trying different types of crafts like needlepoint, is often one of those.

While you may not be a Leonardo Da Vinci, you can still have his creations in your home, made by YOU!

What If I Don’t Like It?

There is always the possibility that you won’t like doing handcrafts.  It would be a shame, but not everyone likes everything and those reasons often very greatly.  But I always recommend to those that are considering trying needlecrafts, that they try something small.  That way the cost is low and the likelihood of completely you’re artwork is high.   Miniatures often called Mini’s are 5 X 5 pieces of canvas, with the art design of your choosing on them.  If you want something playful, consider something like colored pencils:

If on the other hand, you’re a fan of Poe, you can also have him at your home:

Remember, with needlepoint, you’re given a step by step guide as to what colors to use and when to use them.  You’re also give what stitches to use.  What this does is to take out all of the guesswork out of your creations.  If you want to get poe or any of the needlepoints I’ve shown today, feel free to go to Chelseaneedlepoint.com, where have pleanty of selection both for the beginner and the more advanced crafters out there.
